Position 1: Mining Business Analyst
The role of the Mining Business Analyst is crucial for our thriving company. As an Analyst, you will report directly to the Mine Director and be responsible for several key tasks, including:
Analyzing mining costs and improving cost reports, supporting mining operations by developing cost strategies and business tools.
Supporting mining operations by developing cost strategies and business tools.
Performing financial analyses for expense and cost management, building and driving Excel models for comparative analysis.
Identifying major cost reduction opportunities through financial analysis and benchmarking against best practices.
Coordinating, negotiating, or influencing various functional groups to ensure the design and development of value-added management reports.
Required Technical Skills:
Effective communication in both French and English.
Data exploration analysis skills.
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
Knowledge of financial policies and procedures.
Financial analysis and budgeting and planning skills.
Position 2: Plant Processing Specialist
As a Plant Processing Specialist, you will be reporting directly to the Mine Director and play a crucial role in optimizing the processes of our bauxite extraction crushing plant. Your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing historical and current data to identify trends or suggest process improvements.
Creating improved reporting and management systems to optimize plant safety, throughput, capacity, and performance.
Leading the reconciliation processes between the client and mining business partners.
Contributing to the development of skills and performance of contractor personnel.
Required Technical Skills:
Effective communication in both French and English.
Knowledge of mining and industrial engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in mining operations.
Proficiency in software applications: SURPAC or VULCAN, MICROMINE, MINE MARKET, GEOBANK SOFTWARE.
Position 3: Field Geologist
As a Field Geologist, you will report directly to the Project Director and play a key role in examining and analyzing mining plans and execution methods. Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring safety and optimal operation for drilling, blasting, and transportation activities.
Reviewing blasting patterns, surveying drill holes, and compiling drilling plans.
Providing safety and operational optimizations for drilling and transportation activities.
Reviewing blasting models, studying drill holes, and compiling blasting plans.
Required Technical Skills:
Knowledge of soil and subsurface environmental monitoring and surveying techniques.
Skills in the identification and management of energy resources.
Ability to use GIS and WEB-GIS applications.
Capability to perform laboratory analyses on different materials.
